وأخيراً سامسونج تحدد رسمياً تاريخ 20 فبراير للإعلان عن هواتف جالاكسي اس 10. سيقام المؤتمر في مدينة سان فرانسيسكو في أمريكا ومن المتوقع أن تعلن سامسونج عن 3 هواتف من عائلة الجالاكسي، الاول هو Galaxy S10 E وهي النسخة الأصغر مع شاشة مسطحة، والثاني هو Galaxy S10، والثالث طبعاً هو Galaxy S10 Plus.
وقد تقوم سامسونج بتأجيل الإعلان عن نسخة 5G من الجهاز لمؤتمر MWC في مدينة برشلونة بعد المؤتمر الرسمي بأسابيع.
الهواتف الجديدة يقع عليها ضغط كبير بعد توقعات سامسونج بإنخفاض قوي في المبيعات والأرباح في الربع الأخير من 2018، وتذكر بعض التقارير من مصادر قوية أن سامسونج في نفس المؤتمر ستقوم بعرض النسخة النهائية الحقيقة من هاتفها القابل للطي والذي شاهدناه في لمحة أولية لمؤتمر المطورين والذي من المتوقع ان ينتج بكميات محدودة وسعر مرتفع.
